Today we’ll go over the results of a recent study that details where buyers most commonly find homes.
Looking to buy a home? Search all homes here
Looking to sell your home? Get your home value here
We all know today’s buyers turn to the internet, and to their agents, when it comes time to search for the perfect home. But what other places do they look?
Each year, the National Association of Realtors conducts a study examining where recent homebuyers actually found the property they came to purchase, and I’d like to share this year’s findings with you today.
Before I do, you may be interested to know that the results of the study tend to be very similar year after year.
For the most recent study done with information from 2017, it was revealed that 51% of buyers found their home online, while 34% found their home through their agent. As you can see, these two categories constitute the vast majority of buyers.
From our yard signs and direct mailers to our social media advertising and beyond, we do everything in our power to ensure the success of our buyers.
Still, the study did find that 8% of buyers found their home because of a yard sign, and 4% found their home thanks to a neighbor, friend, or relative.
On our team, we dedicate marketing dollars into each of these areas so that all of our buyers have an optimal chance at finding their next place to call home. From our yard signs and direct mailers to our social media advertising and beyond, we do everything in our power to ensure the success of our buyers.
